Planning Sheets Due: Friday, Mar. 28th - Social Studies / History Multi-Media Assignment

Learning Goal:  Create a multi-media wall that includes words and graphics using Padlet software or bristol board material that educates the audience on issues related to Canadian history involving the First Nation and European communities.

This week students will be given a planning package in order to complete the initial work and also will be introduced to Padlet software.  

Research material - Students have watched a CBC movie, been given 3 subject specific handouts, research material from our library has been brought to the class and grade 7 students will use their history text book. On-line research for additional information is optional.  

Planning Sheets Due : Friday, March 28th - Students will receive Padlet password early if they submit  planning sheets before Friday.  They will not be provided with Padlet passwords until planning sheet are complete.

  • 3 reasons are provided to prove your point and at least 2 supporting details for reason are included
  • Supporting details are effective to prove your opinion
  • Higher level vocabulary is included
  • Paragraphs are organized – sentences are in the right paragraph
  •  Unnecessary sentences and details are eliminated (they don’t support your opinion) 
  • Grammar, spelling and punctuation have been edited for accuracy
  • Make sure to use the same tense and stick with it (past, present, future)
