We will "buy" our materials and design our spacecraft on Thursday, May 22nd. Any grade 7 who would also like to design a spacecraft is welcome to bring in their own materials and build on the same date.
The objective of your design is to be able to land on the target located below a window in our classroom (spacecraft will be dropped) and to safely protect the "scientific cargo and astronauts" that will be represented by a raw egg.
Each person will also be required to draft a labelled diagram of the final spacecraft design and write a rational for the materials used in the design.
If our spacecraft designs are ready on Friday, May 23rd and weather permits we will test then, if not we will launch on Monday, May 25th.
Good luck to all spacecraft engineers!
